Engineering Education Requirements:
To begin a career in engineering, one has to possess a bachelor’s
degree in engineering. In some cases employers would prefer you
to have a master’s degree in Mathematics or Physical Science.
Engineers are expected to be licensed if they are in service to the
general public. Hence they are required to possess a degree that is
accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
Once you complete the degree you are entitled to get the license
provided you put in a few years of experience as an engineer in the
respective branch.
Engineering Work Environment:
The work of engineers is varied on account of the nature of the various
branches in the field. The work in general of the engineer is designing
and planning. They design, plan and supervise the construction of
buildings; they are considered experts in the use of raw materials and
they supervise production too in factories. Engineers are adept in
developing new materials with a view to improve the performance of
products. They make the full use of any new developments in technology.
They are adept in analyzing the influence of products made by the
company for which they work. They also estimate the time and the cost
involved in the completion of projects. They can identify any flaw or
shortcoming in the making of a product. An engineer has to test
the manufactured product and should certify the quality after these
tests.

engineering subjects in their college level with a view to become
